Lorzentobel - Sihlufer

This varied tour rides from Baar through the Lorzentobel to the Gottschalkenberg. The wonderful single trail in the Sihl valley forms the return journey.

Description

From Baar, the route initially leads through the Lorzentobel to the main road to Ägeri near Schmittli. After a few meters on the busy road, turn left onto the country road to the hamlet of Brüggli. You pass the farms of Bolzli, Gschwänd and Black on small agricultural roads until you finally reach the village of Finstersee. A small road now leads up to Gotschalkenberg and Muetegg, the starting point of the descent. This rides along the ridge to Mangelhöhe and on to the Gubel restaurant. You then pass the monastery village of Menzingen and ride to the banks of the Sihl via Unterschwand. Follow this idyllic valley to Sihlbrugg and finally cycle along the official cycle paths back to Baar.

With the exception of Lorzentobel, the uphill is all asphalt and much of it is in the forest, making it ideal for hot days. The trail on the Gotschalkenberg rocks at the right speed. All in all, a relaxed and beautiful tour without technical difficulties.

Done yesterday. Nice tour with fun short singletrail passages. There are a few opportunities for a snack or food stop along the way. Tour very doable with an eBike. Really beautiful area!

Scenically beautiful tour. The ascent is almost entirely asphalt and easy to manage. The descent is easy to ride. Fun without being difficult.
