Maderaner Tal
Description
From Amsteg, follow mountain bike route 412 (Maderanertal Bike) up the valley and then head into the Maderanertal valley via a singletrail section. You then reach the village of Bristen on the mountain road. Continue along the signposted route through the forest on the north side of the Maderanertal, where you reach the small village of Stössi via Stäfelialp and Balmenschachen a little later. Now you climb up to Balmenegg, the highest point of the tour. The return journey begins, initially on a singletrail to the valley floor, then along the Chärstelenbach stream out of the valley. Just before the village of Bristen, a small road branches off to the right, which you follow via Frentschberg to the forest clearing at Fryetall. The reason for this final ascent is the singletrail descent that rides downhill from here to Dörfli. Take the main road back to Amsteg.
Alternative: Less experienced bikers can take the mountain road to Amsteg instead of the trail from Frentschenberg

I recently did this tour, but without the last difficult part of the tour. Here is a video of the tour

The video shows very well how beautiful this valley is, it was a very pleasant E-MTB ride
As a local biker, the last section from Frentschenberg via Fryetal is absolutely not an option for me. Much better is the variant from Frentschenberg, directly on the hiking trail to Amsteg and after the railroad overpass to the left.
The entrance to the forest is very slippery in damp/wet weather and is therefore not recommended to ride it
On the basis of the Map this means at Frentschenberg directly down to the left and not to the right as in the route ?
Agree with the last comment. The last single trail down to the village is practically unrideable, even for experienced bikers!
The advice "less experienced bikers" is not correct. The gradient at about 25km is very difficult to ride. It is very steep and littered with large steps. So this part was rideable for us. Even my friend, who is a really "experienced" biker, could not ride this section. This descent is therefore not recommended. It is best to look for an alternative, via the main road or ride the same route as the ascent.
