Many Hill Show
Description
The Many Hill Show starts at Irchelpark Zurich and rides over the Zürichberg to Lorenchopf and through the Elefantenbachtobel to Burgwis. It then climbs up through the Werenbachtobel over the Wasberg and past the Forch to the Pfannenstiel. The descent to Lake Zurich takes place through or parallel to the Meilemer Tobel. From Meilen, take the car ferry across the lake to Horgen and over the Hirzel to Sihlbrugg. The return journey to Zurich is along the Albisgrat, with the official route taking a short detour into the Reppischtal valley after Felsenegg. Finally you reach the Uetliberg. If you are already exhausted, you can ride back to the city center on the Antenna Trail, while the official route leads via Waldegg to Birmensdorf and through the Reppischtal military base to Dietikon. You cross the Limmat and change sides of the valley. A steep ascent leads up to Altberg, where you take the ridge path to Gubrist and over the Hönggerberg back to Milchbuck.
Tips:
- Tackle the Many Hill Show in a foehn wind. The Alpine panorama is then particularly impressive.
- If you run out of energy during the tour, take the S-Bahn back to Zurich from the many stations along the route.
- The revived Pizzacup event of the Many Hill Show takes place every September. Details can be found on the website www.manyhillshow.ch

I agree with the comments. The viewpoints are great, especially on the Albishorn. The tour can also be done very well on a Gavel bike, you definitely don't need a fully. Fun highlights are the Adlisberg trail and the descent through the ravine to Meilen. I'd give 5 stars for fitness if you do the bio. In the end I had 2800 vertical meters and 100km on the screen :-O.
I recently rode this tour on a hardtail, you don't need a lot of suspension travel, but a little more confidence. I find the route and the panorama very beautiful and worthwhile, but if you are looking for technical trails, you will have to adapt the route.
The Many Hill Show is probably the crowning glory of all the trails around Zurich. But the tour posted here is also nice, but it lacks the Heitersberg crossing to Baden and then over the Lägern... So I think there are already many hills on this tour, but it's not the original Many Hill route! (c) :-)
I rode the tour on 13.05.17 and would say that the riding technique is mostly 1. You absolutely have to be in good shape, otherwise it's more of an ordeal. Unfortunately, some sections are (now?) off-limits, or the paths are no longer passable as they are too overgrown. But everything can be avoided. As the GPS track is not too clean on the paths, I had ridden 120km in the end and covered just under 3,000 meters of altitude. Very beautiful scenery, near Hönggerberg (towards evening) I saw deer and a fox (one after the other!). I also really liked the contrast between nature and the city.
