From Irchelpark in Zurich, you pass the Zürichberg, which takes you to Chlösterli near the zoo and from there, past the FIFA headquarters, to Lorenchopf. Always following the ridge, you finally reach the Forchdenkmal and from there head downhill to the shores of Lake Zurich near Meilen. Take the car ferry to change sides of the lake and climb up the Horgenberg from Horgen. After a short descent, the ascent to the Albis ridge begins at Sihlbrugg station. The route now goes up and down to the Uetliberg. I rode the tour last Saturday from Horgen, it's really fun.
Once I missed a turnoff and ended up in Sihlbrugg and I rode the Üetlibergtrail all the way down and then back up on the road towards Uitikon. As the trail is a lot of fun, this variant is definitely recommended and the route to Sihlbrug on the left side of the stream was also great fun! In my case it was 82 km and 2,076 m, but I also got lost 2-3 times... :-)
