The tour starts in the village of Reckingen in the Upper Valais high valley of Goms. You leave the village on local roads heading slightly uphill to the south and then follow the forest road up the valley to Äbmete. You gain altitude on a pleasant incline and after a good 400 meters, turn right into the Hobach valley. Before Alp Chäller, the alpine road becomes steeper and then turns into an alpine path. The picturesque Alp Raifte is the highest point of the tour. From here, the first part of the flowing descent begins on a first-class trail. It is important to keep an eye on the upright stone slabs that serve as water deflectors. You then reach the alpine road familiar from the ascent, keep right at the junction a few meters later and gain a little more altitude. The second part of the road into the Merezebach valley runs alongside a water pipe, which is why it is practically flat.
From Alp Merezebach, follow the trail along the stream. This in turn creates flow from the first few meters, interrupted by a short crossing to the houses near Berbel. Following the edge of the forest, you continue downhill and then follow the forest path with its gentle ups and downs to the wooden bridge below Münster. Directly before the bridge, a narrow trail branches off to the left and rides steeply uphill for a few meters. This takes you steadily up and down to the country road and then to the starting point in Reckingen.
