The hotel is considered a model of sustainability in Valais. The energy is generated from a wood pellet heating system and the food waste is sent to a biogas company in Raron. The hotel building is largely made of wood and the new building from 2021 meets all Minergie standards.

The kitchen focuses on regional products wherever possible and produces various foods itself. The "nose to tail" approach applies here and there are no flavor enhancers at all. Only Valais wines are served with the food.
