Risihorn
Description
The tour starts at the top station of the upper chairlift of the Bellwald cable cars. If you are traveling outside of operating hours, start from the lower chairlift and fight your way up a steep and rough gravel slope. After the mountain station, it's time for some humping: a steep, alpine path leads up to the foot of the Risihorn. Here you deposit your bike and master the final section on a high alpine path (blue and white). The view from the summit to the Fiescher Glacier and the Wannenhorn opposite is sensational.
The descent initially follows the ascent route. At a junction, however, you keep left to Mittelsee and later to the reservoir just below the mountain station. The upper part of the descent is challenging and at a solid S3 level with S4 passages. At the reservoir lake, you reach the downhill section of the bike park. The route called "Vast & Furious" forms the basis up to the middle station, after which you follow the "Into the Wild" to Bellwald. Both sections are shaped bike trails in the S2 range, the "Into the Wild" still has some leftover singletrail genes.
In Bellwald, the final section to Fiesch awaits. You initially take the Eggerweg until you reach the ridge that rides parallel to the road towards Fiesch. The path is bumpy and rooty, but a lot of fun to ride. Further down, it shows its teeth and the stone blocks give it an S3 to S4 label. The last few metres to Fiesch are another leisurely trail roll into the town center.
