Terlago – 8er Trail

Sentiero 8 (Terlago)

The loop from Terlago via Sopra Terlago and Monte Mezzana is a trail mix from Finale Ligure with Trentino flair.

Description

The starting point is Terlago above Trentino. Initially you pedal on asphalt to Monte Terlago, through the small village and later on a forest road to Acqua del Restel. This is the start of the first short trail detour, relatively easy but with an interesting geographical location, along the ridge to the Adige Valley. The route continues past Lago di Lamar along a cart track to the Sopra Terlago panoramic point. At an altitude of around 900 meters above sea level, you have reached the first highest point of the tour and can look forward to a well-deserved descent.

On a classic forest trail, you surf back south to Terlago in Trentino style with difficulty level S2. The difficulty remains relatively unchanged and there are several turn-offs. If you miss one, you will definitely end up in the village. The second ascent is in the direction of Monte Mezzana. Cross the mountain once on the forest road to the highest point at almost 750 meters above sea level and then descend southwards. It is relatively easy to surf through the forest for half an eternity and finally rejoin the official cycle route at Vigolo Baselga on the valley floor. On the descent, you should make sure to adjust your speed. The path is also popular with other mountain sports enthusiasts, but its choice of route encourages a fast riding style. Finally, the cycle path back to Terlago is a relaxed ride.
