The Ex Forte di Naole offers countless uphill and downhill options on southern Lake Garda, with the descent via Baito di Gro and La Fabbrica being one of the most technically demanding.

Description

The tour starts in Rubiana di Sotto near Caprino Veronese. From here, the route leads steadily uphill on asphalt towards Monte Motta and on to Braga. There are a few meters in altitude and kilometers to climb to Malga Valfredda, but the view becomes more spectacular and impressive with every meter climbed. The section from Malga Valfredda to Colonei di Pesina in particular is a scenic highlight - breathtaking views of the Adige Valley and southern Lake Garda. There is a brief downhill section before you climb the last few meters to the Ex Forte di Naole (1675 meters above sea level) on somewhat coarser gravel. The former line of defense offers a fabulous panorama, especially in autumn and spring when visibility is good. Due to the low snow conditions, it is sometimes possible to complete the tour until December.

The start of the descent is also at the Ex Forte di Naole, it goes straight down on difficulty from S1 to S2 to Dosso Bandiera (1293 meters above sea level). From here, the trail has the same level of difficulty, but the trail becomes steadily more difficult and reaches difficulty S3 at La Fabbrica until the end point. Particular attention must be paid to the choice of line here, especially in wet conditions. Back at the starting point in Rubiana di Sottom, you complete this somewhat unknown but very impressive tour.
