Punta de la Mulattiera Ost
Description
The route starts in the small village of Beaulard. From here, take the picturesque military road to the summit of Punta de la Mulattiera. Especially the last few meters above the vegetation line offer a fabulous panorama in autumn with clear visibility and colored forests. Once you reach the summit, you can still find many fragments from the past. During the Second World War in particular, many military installations in the Vallo Alpino were built here, which mountain bikers today benefit from thanks to the dense network of paths.
The descent from the summit to the old barracks is initially on difficulty S1 to S2. From here it is a little more difficult for a short time, but immediately returns to level S1 as you surf the entire east side back to the village of Puys. From Puys, the route then leads back to the valley floor on difficulty levels S1 to S2 and finally along the picturesque cycle path back to the starting point. All in all, a fantastic tour that offers breathtaking tranquillity, especially in autumn when the lifts are closed and the frequency is low, as well as a magnificent, drawn mountain panorama with Western Alpine flair.
