Antonios Joch – Rifugio Pederü
Description
The starting point of the tour is St. Vigil in Enneberg. From here, the route leads up the idyllic Rautal valley to the Pederü hut with a gentle warm-up phase on asphalt. This changes abruptly at the Pederü hut. On extremely steep gravel and a former military road, you pedal in this style up to the small Fanes hut at over 2000 meters above sea level. The route then continues to the Lavarella hut, where the pedaling finally comes to an end. The bike is now pushed and carried up to the Antonios Joch (2466 meters above sea level). This exertion is rewarded with extraordinary scenery. Bizarre rock formations and a typical Dolomite panorama are a real feast for the eyes.
The descent on Sentiero 13 is just as much of a dream. Initially on difficulty levels S1 to S2, the route then descends somewhat steeply to the Lavarella hut. You then continue on gravel for a short time before the trail cuts down to the Pederü hut. Everything is on offer here at various levels of difficulty between S1 and S3. From the Pederü hut, the route then leads back through the Val Dai Tamersc (Rautal) on easy valley trails with level S1 back to the starting point.

Instead of going up and down through the Rautal valley, you could take the gondola lift up in St. Vigil and then climb up to the Antoniusjoch from the west via Utia da Rit. This makes for an attractive round trip with shuttle support and about the same amount of pushing/carrying.
