Bernbike-Marathon

The city of Bern once had its own mountain bike marathon with the start and finish on the Gurten. The route is also ideal for training and rides over the Ulmizberg to Bütschelegg and back.

Description

From Gurten, the route immediately descends into the Köniztal valley and, opposite, up to the Ulmizberg with the transmitter antenna visible from afar. You then pass the Lisiberg to the east, reach Oberscherli and then circle the Bütschelegg up and down. Over the Imihubel and through Obermuhlern, you finally reach Kehrsatz, from where you return to the Gurten.
