Jochberg
Description
From Kochel am See, ride along the forest road for around eleven kilometers to the Jocher Alm. From here, the hiking trail leads up to the summit of the Jochberg. The descent begins to the north. The trail is only for specialists: very steep, rocky and rooty with tight hairpin bends. Here you should definitely not fall in some areas. It gets a little easier towards the end, but there are still many S4 passages. At the bottom, keep left and ride the trail until you come back to the forest road of the ascent. Alternatively, you can also take the trail to Kotalm, which has a difficulty level of S3 and is not as exposed. After a short stretch, turn right onto the Kochel trail, which is easy at first and then steep with a few hairpin bends. It is partly washed out from the rain, especially in the lower part. You come out at the access road and roll down a few bends until the second part of the Kochel trails begins. The key section awaits here right at the start, most people will have to push. Only absolute trail specialists will master this section. Otherwise, the trail has a beautiful forest floor with lots of roots. Steep and flowing passages alternate. The trail is in the S3 range throughout and is great fun. The entire descent is not recommended in the rain, especially the Jochberg North descent.
