Monte Floriz
Description
The route starts in Rigolato. Here you pedal initially on asphalt, later on gravel up an old military road to Collinetta. Keep your eyes peeled on the uphill section. Firstly because of the panorama and secondly because of the lost places. Time and again, there are military installations from the Second World War that were built into the mountains. From Collinetta, the route continues on asphalt and later on gravel on a moderate incline to the Rifugio Giovanni Marinelli. The Rifugio Giovanni Marinelli is a wonderful place for a break. The panorama here is also absolutely stunning. Afterwards, the bike is pushed or carried up to Monte Floriz (2184 meters above sea level) on a military path from the First World War. The summit is a lush panoramic plateau and offers 360-degree views. Eagles can be found in this area because of the good thermals. In contrast, there are few people on the summit and the route is a rather unknown tour.
Now the descent is on the agenda! From Monte Floriz to Casera Plumbs, the descent is literally exhilarating on difficulty level S1, only S2 in places. Flow is guaranteed here. At Casera Plumbs, there is a short counter-climb of around 100 meters in altitude before continuing on an old military road via Givigliana to the starting point of the tour. Countless hairpin bends have to be mastered here, with a maximum difficulty level of S2. At Torrente Degano, you can cool off in the pools in summer.

Fantastically beautiful, lonely (on the descent) tour. Opportunity for a cappuccino on the ascent (in Collina).
The following additions:
1) From Forcella Plumbs, take the path directly down - and not the path to the right. This is already quite overgrown and hardly passable. After approx. 1 km both paths come together again.
2) We (two of us) were out and about with an organic bike and an e-bike. Over Monte Floriz it is quite easy with the e-bike - you can usually walk next to the bike and have the e-bike pushed with the walking aid. You can also manage 3-4 larger descents with a bit of a scramble. The biggest problem is the ascent with an e-bike from Casa Plumbs: the path is only about 20 cm wide and has a lot of undergrowth to the right and left. We put the bike on the rear wheel with assistance and went up that way - it's quite tough...
