Rifugio Marinelli
Description
The route starts just above Rigolato. From here, you follow a military road from the Second World War to Collina and continue on asphalt to Rifugio Tolazzi. At Rifugio Tolazzi, the route climbs steadily uphill on gravel at a moderate gradient to Rifugio Marinelli. At around 1800 m above sea level, you break through the vegetation and can see the breathtaking mountain scenery. From Monte Crostis in the south and the Hohe Warte in the north, the panorama is breathtaking. Once you reach the Rifugio Marinelli, a stop for refreshments is almost obligatory. Traditional and local dishes are served here. This refreshment stop gives you strength after a relatively long ascent. You also need the refreshment for the descent. The Sentiero 143 gets straight down to business. On difficulty levels S2 to S3, and in places S4 in the lower section at the Rifugio Tolazzi, you have to bring a lot of body tension and concentration to master all the key sections as a technically minded biker. The route continues on trail cut-offs back to Collina, as well as the transfer to Givigliana. Here you will find a flowing S1-S2 trail directly back to the starting point, thus completing the tour.
