Monte Floriz – Casera Plumbs
Description
The starting point of the tour is the parking lot near the cemetery above Rigolato. From here, the route winds steadily uphill on a side road and then on an old military road from the Second World War. After passing the small village of Tours, the route continues past old bunkers to Collina. Now the uphill continues on gravel. The gradient also changes. The incline is steep in places and above the tree line, so you will shed a few drops of sweat, especially in the summer months. A stop at the Rifugio Marinelli is almost a must. The inn is idyllically situated right on the saddle. From here, the bike is then pushed and carried up to Monte Floriz, the highest point of the tour.
The descent begins - an absolute trail monster. On difficulty S1, it feels like an eternity to Forcella Plumbs (1976 meters above sea level). You then surf down the Alpini trail to Casera Plumbs. The gravel road is used for a short time before the 150er-Sentiero takes you back to Collina on a somewhat more technical route. From Collina, the mountain is crossed again and the next destination, Givigliana, is already in sight, as is the last trail. On difficulty S2, occasionally S3, the route descends to the Degano torrent and then a few meters back to the starting point on asphalt.
