Monte Malvuerich – Malurch-Trail
Description
The starting point is the road to the Nassfeld Pass on the south side just above Pontebba at the small parking lot. From here, the route climbs steadily uphill on asphalt along the military road from the Second World War. At the former barracks, just below the Nassfeld Pass, keep left towards Malurch Sattel. From here, the bike is then only pushed and carried up a military road from the First World War to the saddle at just under 1650 meters above sea level. The view from the saddle is already very inviting and becomes increasingly interesting. Passing barracks and emplacements from the First World War, the route then crosses galleries and then passes a spectacular spot. Difficulty is rated S3 at the key points and S2 at the intermediate points.
At the saddle, you can take the route towards Conca di Pricot and then towards Torrente Pontebba, or the alternative route towards the Nassfeld Pass road according to the GPX track. Both variants have a similar level of difficulty, but the western variant turns into a forest road and you have to descend a few meters on it. If you choose the variant to the Nassfeld Pass, you also wind your way down a military trail with difficulty levels S1 to S2 and then rejoin the uphill section, which takes you back to the starting point.
