Seekaralmsteig

Seekaralmsteig

Short, crisp challenge from the Seekaralm to Achenkirch. The trail leads from the Seekaralm over countless steep, technically demanding hairpin bends back to Achenkirchen. The very exposed trail can only be ridden by specialists with top riding technique.

Description

The Seekar is not only a very challenging ski tour in winter and only for experts. The trail from the Seekaralm is also a real challenge in summer and only very, very good riders will enjoy it. After the steep ascent to the Seekaralm, you can enjoy a small snack at the Seekaralm before heading across the alpine meadows into the crisp trail. Not so steep at first along the slope, but soon very steep and exposed, hairpin bend after hairpin bend follows. The further you descend, the more challenging the adventure becomes. The hairpin bends are peppered with roots and make the whole thing even more unpredictable. At the end, the trail runs along the right bank of the stream and back onto the forest road of the approach route. The trail is not rideable in the rain.

Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
