Zöhreralm
Description
The tour begins right next to the thermal power station at the parking lot with a moderate, almost four-kilometre-long ascent to the Zöhreralm. Here you can stop for a bite to eat before starting the trail. The trail is ideal in spring and late fall. In summer, it is heavily frequented by hikers and is not recommended. After the refreshment stop, go through the wooden gate and ride onto the trail on the right. Two wide bends introduce the trail, which is rather easy until the middle section gets sporty. Very steep and very tight hairpin bends require an excellent hairpin technique, without this you're screwed here and carry the bike down. However, this is not so easy on this steep section either. The lower part of the trails is easy to ride and does not present any major difficulties. You cross the forest road a few times until you reach the road of the ascent again and roll back to the parking lot on the left.
The trail is not recommended in the rain.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
