Seebergspitze
Description
The tour starts in Maurach and you ride along the Achensee cycle path from Maurach to Achenkirch. At the end of Lake Achensee, turn left and ride past the campsite towards Seekarspitze. Here you take the forest road that climbs steeply up to the Seekaralm. From the Seekaralm you have a wonderful view of the imposing north face of the Seekarspitze. Below the Seekaralm, continue riding to the right towards Pasillalm-Pasillsattel. Now no longer quite so steep, the route follows the beautiful, secluded valley to the end of the valley, where you reach the Pasillalm. Now you push and carry your bike to the Pasill saddle. At the Pasill saddle (1680 meters above sea level) continue left up to the Seebergspitze. Here you now have to shoulder the bike for the 400 meters in altitude. Once you reach the summit, you have a breathtaking view of the Rofan mountains and, on the other side, the Karwendel mountains and Lake Achensee.
Now the very steep and technical descent begins. Exposed, rocky and stony at the start, it later becomes easier to ride through mountain pines. In the forest, it becomes rougher and there are a few hairpin bends until you finally arrive in Pertisau. From here, you ride back to Maurauch along the Achensee cycle path.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
