Stanser Joch
Description
The route starts in the small village of Jenbach. From here, you meander along the cycle path to Stans. In Stans, it's time to top up your water reserves. An eternal road winds its way steadily uphill on asphalt and gravel almost all the way to the Stanser Joch (2102 meters above sea level). In good weather conditions and a constant period of sunshine and rain, it is possible to replenish your water reserves at the Stanser Joch Hochleger, otherwise it is a very dry affair, but from around 1900 meters above sea level you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama of the Tyrolean mountains and the main Alpine ridge. At the pass itself, there are far-reaching views of Lake Achensee, the Rofan mountains and the Karwendel Nature Park.
The downhill runs on difficulty level S3, in places S4, into the Weissenbachkar, to the Weissenbachsattel and on to the Bärenbadalm. From the Bärenbadalm, which is also a great place to stop for a bite to eat, the trail continues on difficulty S1 to S2 along the tunnel path to Pertisau and Achsensee. In the summer months, this is a perfect place to swim and cool off in the middle of the tour. The short transfer route to Eben remains flat with no significant elevation gain. From the Kirchenwirt (Notburga Museum), the trail gets technical again, with the descent leading directly along the Achensee cable car. On difficulty level S2, you circle your way back to Jenbach, where this fantastic tour comes to an end.

Very long ascent on asphalt and forest road and the last approx. 150 vertical meters on a hiking trail. The first 300 meters of the descent are always very narrow sections where you have to carry your bike. This is followed by a cool, technically demanding section to the Bärenbadalm. I was still able to follow the route for the upper part of the subsequent tunnel path, but then there were countless hikers and a huge ban on bikes, so I had to take the forest road down to the Achensee. From Eben down to Jenbach there is a flowing trail, but it's not really special. All in all, a disappointing tour for me - only about 500 meters of really worthwhile descent with 1600 meters of ascent.
