Sonnwendbühelalm
Description
The starting point of the tour is the small village of Münster in the Inn Valley. From here, the route immediately changes from asphalt to gravel and follows a forest road through magnificent terrain on a moderate to medium gradient steadily uphill to the Sonnwendbühelalm. This is magically nestled in front of the Vorderer Sonnwendjoch in the Rofan mountains and offers a magnificent view of the main Alpine ridge and the Zillertal valley to the south.
The downhill trail begins on the plateau by the bench at the hut. There is no long discussion here and you reach difficulty level S3 throughout. In places, it even reaches S4 level, although some key sections are not rideable. The lower you get, the easier the trail becomes before it finally becomes "relatively" flowy at an altitude of just under 1000 meters above sea level and changes to S1 to S2 on the final section.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
