Felsenland-Marathon-Tour Dahn
Description
This large loop starts and ends at the train station in Dahn. After just a short roll-in, the route takes you along a challenging trail ascent below the Römerfelsen rock. A detour to the rock is worthwhile: here you have a great view of Dahn and the Altdahn castle group. A first-class trail begins on the following Wölmersberg: wide bends on a flowing path take us smoothly downhill. The route then continues to Erfweiler and via Schindhard to the Bärenbrunnerhof, where you can also take a break with refreshments.
On the rest of the tour, you ride below the Stumpfberg and Wolfshorn to Darstein, always on beautiful forest paths and varied trails. Lindelbrunn Castle can also be climbed for a beautiful view, and the Cramerhaus, which is located directly on the route, offers another refreshment stop. The bridging route from Oberschlettenbach to Busenberg, where we ride over the Eichelberg, is mostly on forest paths and short trail sections. Then we head below the Jüngstberg to a beautiful flowing downhill trail and on to the impressive "Fladensteine" rock formation. There you have the opportunity to ride an enduro trail with a length of more than five kilometers!
The tour now continues via Rumbach and the Christkindelsfelsen to Bruchweiler-Bärenbach, from where we ride past the Napoleonsfels to the large Eyberg. Once there, we surf beautiful, long, flowing, but also more challenging hairpin bend trails.
On the return to Dahn, there is the opportunity to take a final break at the Pfälzerwaldhütte before returning to the starting point via Neudahn Castle.
