Lemberg Rundtour
Description
The starting point of this tour is Lemberg Castle, which you can climb and visit. Directly after the short ascent to the castle, there is a wonderfully flowing trail descent to Ruppertsweiler. At the beginning, the trail is very narrow and steep, but after crossing a forest road, it continues a little wider and more flowy. The trail ends directly at the parking lot of the Wasgau supermarket. Once there, after a short section of road, turn right onto a wide path along the small Rodalb stream towards Ungeheuertal. There we turn right and the path climbs steeply for a short while. Below the Schiffelkopf, the route follows forest roads and short trail sections through the middle of the forest.
The longest trail descent of the day then follows. This trail turns off to the left just before the Maiblumenfels. The trail is marked with the Trailcharing sign. Basically easy, it flows nicely along the slope, with only flat roots lining the way. The route continues up and down on forest paths before turning onto a beautiful, long trail within sight of the L485 country road. At the beginning it is rather uphill and then flat, meandering through the Palatinate Forest towards Langmühle. Shortly before reaching this tranquil village, turn right and continue downhill on a narrow path to ride to Lemberg. Once there, you return to the starting point, Lemberg Castle.
