Felsenland-Tour Dahn

Pfälzerwald

The extensive tour around Dahn offers the best Palatinate Forest experience: rocky trails alternate with serpentine sections and great views.

Description

The starting point of the tour is Bruchweiler-Bärenbach, just south of Dahn. You climb up a gravel road to the Napoleonsfelsen rock and then on to the Grosser Eyberg (513 meters above sea level). This is followed by a crisp serpentine descent to then circle the Kleiner Eyberg and descend to Dahn on a wonderfully flowing single trail. There is a short climb up to the Neudahn castle ruins to loop back to Dahn. A path leads up to the Roman rock, followed by a challenging serpentine descent to Erfweiler. The next stops are Schindhard and the Bärenbrunnerhof and finally Darstein in a wonderful alternation of trails and gravel roads. Lindelbrunn Castle (Schlossberg) is also on the way. The route continues via Oberschlettenbach to Busenberg and finally along the edge of the forest back to Bruchweiler.
