Punta Tre Chiosis
Description
The tour starts in Casteldelfino, from where it continues along the pass road to Castello and then on to Pontechianale. This first section is entirely on asphalt, the low traffic volume and the magical landscape allow you to forget everyday life and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the Western Alps. From Pontechianale, take a sharp right after Genzana and follow the old military road up to the Maddalena-Serviero mountain station. From here, at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, pedalling is over and the bike is pushed or carried up over the mountain ridge to the summit of Punta Tre Chiosis. Tips for e-mountain bikers: With an e-bike, you can master the ascent with the pushing aid, but you should also be able to carry the bike a few times. The air gets thinner with every meter you get closer to the summit. But the views and impressions become more and more spectacular. Once you reach the summit, it's time to take a deep breath, because you don't reach the altitude of 3080 meters above sea level every day - and neither does the panorama.
The descent to Le Conce (2429 meters above sea level) is at S1 to S2 level. From Le Conce, the route heads north along the Torrente Vallanta and then down the entire valley to Pontechianale and back to the small village of Castello. The trail continues on a difficulty level of S2 to S3 from Castello to Casteldelfino. In total, you have over 1600 meters of trail descent behind you! The tour offers Western Alps flair to the power of ten, passing military installations, lost places and wonderful historic villages and finishing with a good pizza.
