Dreiländereck
Description
From the village center of Kranjska Gora, the first phase of the route leads along gravel roads to the neighbouring village of Podkoren. Here you turn off onto the road up to the Wurzenpass and follow it for around 150 meters before turning left onto a gravel road. From here, there is no more car traffic and you roll uphill for a long time through the dense forest. In between, the gravel road even leads a little downhill to finally lead all the way up to the Dreiländereckk. Up here, you get a wonderful view of the gentle lake region of Carinthia to the north and the rugged mountain formations of the Julian Alps to the south.
The summit of the Dreiländereck is the starting point of the rooty serpentine descent along the Slovenian-Italian border. The path is easy to ride, but is a real challenge in wet conditions. In countless serpentines, you descend 300 Elevation loss until you reach a gravel road. Here you can recover for a few meters until the next trail starts at an abandoned house. This is more technical and rougher than the previous descent, especially in the lower section. This also leads into a gravel road, which you follow for a while and then turn left onto the rather bumpy final trail that rides down to Ratece. You pass the beautiful village and cycle back to Kranjska Gora on the cycle paths.
Conclusion: a great singletrail tour with an excellent insight into the region

Beautiful tour, the ascent via the forest road is a tough one, with steep climbs alternating with flatter passages. Unfortunately, I arrived at the top in cloudy conditions, so I didn't have much of a view. The first section is very rooty, and some of the hairpin bends are tricky due to the roots. However, some shortcuts show that the trail is often used. (The highlight for me was the second section through the autumn forest and the technical, steep section at the end of this section. The tour can easily be completed in half a day and I would be happy to recommend it to others!
On September 17th up on a forest path in the forest. Great panoramic view at the top. Impressive actually, the 3 major European languages, Romance, Germanic & Slavic meeting here...
Down over quite a few roots and later a bit of flow.
A bit of bike park the next day. It was well worth it
