From the town center of Kranjska Gora, the first stage is a gravel road to the neighbouring village of Podkoren. Here you turn off onto the road up to the Wurzenpass and follow it for around 150 meters before turning right onto a gravel road. Follow this road uphill for a while until shortly before Jurezeva planina. Turn left here and climb up a gravel road to the start of the Robe Twist Trail.

Now it's time for the descent. The trail is a first-class "nature trail". The trail is beautifully laid out, winds its way through the forest and is easy to ride without ending up as a boring flow trail. The trail crosses the ascent route once and is a real highlight. The trail ends at a small road, which you follow for a short distance and then take the final section down to the valley floor.
