Monte Colletto

Levanto Supertrail

On the pass road to the Ligurian Colle di Guaitarola, you ride in the footsteps of the Giro d`Italia, only then you turn off and feel the flow of the fast trails and the fantastic view of the sea from up here.

Description

Start at Levanto beach and ride up the SP42 steadily for around ten kilometers until you reach the highest point at Colle di Guaitarola. Here, after around one kilometer at Foce di Vaggi, the trail turns onto a forest road that immediately becomes really steep. Trail 2819 begins at the top of the ridge and is fast and flowy. There are a few jumps along the way and you can get a good ride on the natural berms. The middle section of the trail is rocky and blocked, but not too difficult. In La Rossola, a small agriturismo, you can take a break. Turn left around the mountain and head straight on to Monte delle Streghe. This is where the Tornantini Trail begins, with lots of large rocks, berms and wide hairpin bends that can be ridden normally without having to change. The trail is not too steep. With a wonderful view of the bay of Levanto, you return to the SP42 and roll along it to Levanto and the beach. Difficulty level S2 with a few S3 passages.

The trail has now been completely restored after the storms in 2015 and all the kickers have been redone! The guy from the bike store in the village organized it. Thank you very much!
😊 I think it's a great trail! Not quite easy - as described, but well done!

The loop is great without a motor; pleasant incline and beautiful surroundings. The trail is rather easy at the beginning and gets a little more difficult towards the end. The last part is ridden back on an old Roman road.

Did it today with the e-bike. Really cool morning ride. Didn't even need 2 hours with breaks. Beautiful views and the 2819 trail is really playful and fun. Definitely worth doing this tour. The description of Ride with S2 is completely correct for me.
