Punta Mesco
Description
The tour starts at Levanto beach and takes a small side road onto the Strada Bardellone. As you cycle almost along the ridge, you have a magnificent view of the bay of Levanto. The trail of the same name begins on the right at Monte Crocettola. One of the most beautiful trails in the region. The route quickly takes you through natural hills, steep steps and lots of bends, like a rollercoaster as you emerge at Colle di Gritta. Cross the road and climb up onto a trail on the right at the restaurant parking lot. Now it's time to push the bike. Or if you have an e-bike, you can ride the trail except for a few steeper sections. The trail rides up Monte Rossini and Montenegro and then over many stones and roots down to Sella dei Bagari. At the crossroads, the trail climbs slightly to Punta Mesco. Here you have a wonderful view of the cliffs.
The trail now heads north back to Levanto. There are a few hikers here in the morning, but in the early afternoon it quietens down a little and is easy to ride. However, the trail requires a lot of skill, it is very rough up and down and you have to push on a few sections. This is where it becomes rather strenuous on an e-mountain bike. The trail is a good place to improve your trail skills. It continues until above Levanto, where you meet a road and ride down to the starting point.

In terms of trails, the direct descent from Monte Rossini directly to Levanto, one of the best single trails in the region, is much more attractive than the route via Punta Mesco. However, this version does not offer a view of the cliffs.
