Monstein

The Alps Epic Trail Davos is one of the best-known tours in the Davos region. There is also a shorter version of it, which is no less attractive. It leads from Davos to Monstein and back again.

Description

After an initial ascent, you reach Clavadel at the entrance to the Sertig Valley. A short descent leads down to the Sertigbach stream, the Sertigtal road is crossed, and then the route leads through a mix of single trails and forest roads over the Heidboden and Junkerboden to Spina. Here begins the ascent to the mountain station of the Rinerhornbahn Jatzmeder, immediately before which you branch off to the right onto the high-level trail towards Monstein. This is a fun, sometimes tricky and then flowy route to Hauderalp. After a few bends on the road towards Monstein, another attractive single trail branches off towards Oberalp and Inneralp. From Inneralp, the route then descends to Monstein. After a short refreshment stop, you ride downhill on forest roads via Spina to Glaris, where you change sides of the valley to avoid the traffic on the main road. The route then leads leisurely via Lengmatta and Frauenkirch back to Davos and the starting point at the Davos sports center. Note: The route is fully signposted with the number 335.
