Christl-Trail
Description
The starting point of the route is St. Leonhard im Passeier, from where you take the little-used asphalt road from Brückenwirt up to Breiteben and on past Ulfas to Kratzegg. The road soon turns into a gravel path with a pleasant gradient up to the Untere Ulfaser Alm. Refreshment is the order of the day here! Because the upcoming descent requires full concentration. First you follow a rather harmless rooty Waal path, which shows its teeth after the Waaler Hütte. A steep path (typical of the Passeriertal!) leads down to Christl. Again and again interspersed with tricky sections, hairpin bends and carpets of roots. As soon as you reach a relaxing phase, the next challenge (S3 trail) is just a few meters away. After the hamlet of Christl, things become smoother and the further you fly towards the valley floor, the easier the route becomes. You ride down to the banks of the Passeier and take the cycle path back to St. Leonhard for the last few meters.

We rode the tour today in the extended version-> which means that we also took the Matatzspitz with us. Those who are not afraid to carry 600m will be massively rewarded with a very challenging dream trail (many S4 sections).
Back to the hut it soon goes along a wonderful Suone (here better only at off-peak times, seems to be heavily frequented and is narrow) and then into a super trail. From Christl onwards there are unfortunately bike bans everywhere... We were sent down the road by a bad-tempered pensioner. At some point we got back on the trail (via another bike ban/ but nobody was standing there).
Luckily we had our fun on the summit otherwise we would probably have been annoyed.
