Mont Fort Enduro

The Mont-Fort route is a classic among enduro tours and was once one of the first official mountain bike offers with integrated mountain railway transport.

Description

The first ascent to Savoleyres is done with the gondola lift, before heading straight into the first singletrail descent to Etablons de Riddes. The trail then rides all the way to La Tzoumaz. A forest path rides to Drotcher, and this is where the long ascent to Cabanne de Balavaud begins. The route along the Ancienne Bisse de Saxon would be much more attractive if bikes were not prohibited on this route. You could follow it all the way to Siviez, but now you have to switch to forest roads. In Siviez, you load your bike back onto a gondola lift and ride up to the Col des Gentianes. The way back to Verbier leads along a good goods road, and at Chaux you switch to the Bisse de Levron as far as Ruinettes. From here, depending on your ability, you can choose between one of the bike park's freeride routes or the forest road through the Darbey forest.

Alternatives: From La Chaux via Sarreyer to Le Châble and back to Verbier on the gondola lift.
