Monte Ciaurlec – Nord
Description
The start is in Travesio. From here, the route climbs steadily on a moderate to high gradient before switching from asphalt to gravel. Towards Casera Sinich, the route becomes increasingly selective and is a challenging trail in places. Most of it is doable on an e-bike, but with a biobike it has to be pushed in places. From the Casera Sinich, which is epically situated in the landscape, the route continues in the same manner. E-bikers make good progress, although some sections have to be mastered with the push function. Organic bikers have to push most of the way here. The route continues in this style up to Monte Ciaurlec, which is only accessible by bike up to about 15 meters before the summit. These last few meters must then be completed on foot before you can enjoy a good view to the south in spring and autumn.
The trail descent is just as enjoyable. In the upper section at S1 to S2 level, it remains in this style and descends epically to Selvaz and then steadily down to Ex cava di marmo. A very epic descent in the middle of the beech forests with real enjoyment potential. Briefly on asphalt, the trail then crosses the Torrente Cosa with a slight counter-climb and continues steadily downhill in the Cuel Preses area. Finally, you return to civilization, so to speak, at Almadis and have a few more trail cut-offs and side roads that ride back to the starting point.
