Monte Jouf – Forca de la Crous
Description
The start is in Maniago. From here, the Strada Bianca climbs steadily up the southern slopes in the truest sense of the word. Glimpses of the trail sections can be seen time and again, giving hope for good things to come. The relatively long and demanding ascent to Malga Jouf only comes to an end on Monte Jouf (1224 meters above sea level). Here you have a fabulous view of the Torrente Cellina, Maniago and, on a clear day, as far as the Mediterranean Sea.
The eternal trail descent that follows can also be described as more than good. At difficulty S2, S3, it descends a few meters along the summit before the traverse begins, whereby the difficulty level remains unchanged. Descend in this manner to the Forca de la Crous. At the Forca de la Crous, take Sentiero 983 and 899. This is followed by a top panoramic trail that crosses the entire mountain. The difficulty here is mostly S2. After what feels like an eternal descent, you come back to a Strada Bianca, climb a few meters in altitude here and take the top shaped trail cut-offs to Maniago.
