Forca de la Crous

Monte Jouf

The tour up Monte Jouf starts in Maniago. The long but not very steep ascent to a plateau. The route leads over grassy hills on endless flowing trails around Monte Jouf. A very scenic tour with gigantic views.

Description

The tour starts in Maniago and initially rides past the Castello on a tarred road and soon continues uphill on gravel. It takes endless hairpin bends until you reach a plateau. Turn right down the grassy hill and keep left at a fork in the path to ride over a grassy knoll and soon into the forest. There is a lot of foliage in places and large stones lurking underneath, so be careful. The route goes up and down through the sparse beech forest until you reach the SP63. Now on tar, a few hairpin bends up to the saddle and further on until you turn left onto a small path. It is difficult to find due to all the foliage. Ride and push along trail 989 until you reach the Forca di la Crous. This is where the Panorama Trail begins. The only challenge is the abyss, otherwise it is not very demanding. Shortly before Maniago, the Kraken Trail becomes a little more challenging again, where the tour ends.
