Alpe Palü

Tirano

The Alp Palü lies high above the Puschlav and connects Switzerland with Italy on single trails. The bike tour offers riding fun with a gelati on the piazza in Tirano as the finale.

Description

From Brusio, you reach the small village of Viano via a narrow asphalt road. Follow the narrow asphalt road uphill to the old customs house, where the descent begins. The first part is still rough, but the steep ramps  soon become more and more rideable until shortly before the village of Baruffini. Here you enter the village on a small asphalt road, turning sharp right into an alley just before the bar and then turning right again and then left further down. This takes you to the start of the next trails, which you follow to the main road in Tirano.

Alternatives: If you fancy more singletrails, ride straight on at the Palü customs house on a technically challenging singletrail. At point 1261, the route descends very steeply to the right to Nasen. A wonderful single trail then takes you to the village of Roncaialo. The next trail begins opposite the church, on which you reach Tirano after a good shake
