Selva Trail

Moos-Trail

Poschiavo is known for the Bernina descent, the Col d'Anzana and San Romerio. But the valley has much more to offer, such as the Selva Trail.

Description

From Poschiavo train station, you first walk a few meters in the direction of San Carlo, then keep left and climb up the little road that is marked as a mountain bike route. You pass the pretty hamlets of Massela and Vederscion before finally reaching the highest point of the tour, the bridge over the stream in Val d'Ursé. You have now climbed just over 600 meters in altitude. You are still on the marked route (Route 431) and reach the Selva plateau with the small chapel on a trail. Now leave the official route and head directly back to Poschiavo via the wonderful single trail, which is tricky to ride in wet conditions.

I rode the tour today on 30.07.2025. Nice round where the descent is paved on a Roman road with many stones, therefore not recommended in wet conditions. If you are in the area you can also take the trail Custin No. 13 where there are few stones. I also liked it very much...just a little tip.
