The Kasseler Hütte under the Tristennöckl on the way to the Magerstein is a fantastic, high alpine hut in the Rieserferner group that offers a full range of services. The descent leads down the great 8-person trail to Rein in Taufers.

Description

The starting point of the tour is Rein in Taufers. From here, the route starts out on gravel, albeit relatively steeply, up to around 1800 meters above sea level. This is where the hiking trail number 8 begins, which you then follow, pushing and carrying, to the Kasseler Hütte. Fantastic landscapes, initially in coniferous forests and later above the tree line, are just waiting to be explored - just like the Kasseler Hütte. Culinary delights of the highest standard can be enjoyed here with a clear conscience.

The descent can also be started with a clear conscience and full of anticipation. At the beginning, the ascent variant on the 8-pitch route with difficulty S2, in places S3, gets down to business relatively quickly without a warm-up phase. The granite slabs in particular require concentration and body tension in order to master the hairpin bends and ledges. The route then continues along the 1er trail via the Untere Terner Alm back to Rein in Taufers. An eternal trail monster that only relaxes towards the end. S2, in places S3 and finally S1 are the inner values of this descent.
