Tribulaunhaus – Gstreinjöchl

Tribulaunhaus – Gstreinjöchl

The magnificently situated Tribulaunhaus north of the Gschnitzer Tribulaun combines top culinary delights with breathtaking scenery and a perfect trail.

Description

The tour starts at the head of the Gschnitztal valley after the hamlet of Gschnitz. From here, the route climbs steadily on gravel with a moderate gradient into the magnificent alpine mountain world of the Tribulaun to the Tribulaunhaus. From the Tribulaunhaus, you can carry your bike up to the Gstreinjöchl and include this as an additional trail. Otherwise it ends at the Tribulaunhaus. Incidentally, this is also the perfect place to stop for refreshments.

The descent is then perfectly laid out on serpentines to the starting point. The difficulty level here is S2 to S3. The tour to the Tribulaunhütte is perfectly doable by e-bike. However, the ascent to the Gstreinjöchl is only suitable for biobikes, as the entire uphill section has to be carried and pushed.

Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.
