Innsbrucker Hütte
Description
This challenging tour starts in Mieders and rides along the cycle path through Fulpmes and Kampl to Neder. From here it gets more challenging: a long, steep climb up to the Karalm, which is mostly on gravel paths. Once you reach the Stubai Alps, the panorama is breathtaking. From the Karalm, there is the option of riding further up on a well-maintained hut path, which is easily accessible for e-bikers. At the Innsbrucker Hütte and Pinnisjoch, the highest points of the tour, you can take a break to enjoy the view before the descent begins.
The descent via difficulty levels S2 and S3 rides through numerous hairpin bends and different vegetation zones into the Gschnitztal valley. The quiet and idyllic valley is then crossed via Trins to Steinach am Brenner and finally to Matrei am Brenner. The Gschnitzbach, known for its excellent water quality and beautiful color, offers a unique scenery against the backdrop of the 3000 m high mountains of the Wipptal. From Steinach am Brenner, the route becomes less spectacular and you can consider taking a shuttle back to the starting point. Otherwise, the return journey leads partly along main and side roads, all on asphalt.
Tip: The tour can be started in Innsbruck with the Stubaitalbahn and the train to Innsbruck can be taken for the return journey from Steinach, or alternatively the cycle path through the Wipptal can be ridden to Innsbruck.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.

The path from the Innsbrucker Hütte is not passable as of July 25 and is therefore closed. The alternative below the material cable car is technically demanding. There is no flow -> you have to like it :-)
