Seejöchl
Description
The start is in Mutters. From here, you take the official cycle route (Bike Trail Tirol) past Götzens, Birgitz and Axams before heading uphill to the Kemater Alm. An undertaking not to be underestimated: relatively steep in places and exposed to the merciless sun, especially in summer. The route then continues to the Adolf Pichler Hütte, where the pedaling finally comes to an end. From the Adolf Pichler Hütte, the bike has to be pushed or carried a good 500 meters up to the Seejöchl. The view is already magnificent on the ascent and reaches its peak at the transition. The Kalkkögel always has a Dolomite flair.
The descent from the Seejöchl is also unique. The traverse to the Starkenburger Hütte is an absolute highlight in terms of skiing technique and panoramic views. The warm-up phase begins here at difficulty level S2, occasionally S3. From the Starkenburger Hütte, the route continues in the same manner. On countless hairpin bends and a panoramic view of the Stubai Alps and the main Alpine ridge that is hard to beat. When you finally arrive in the Stubai Valley, near Neustift, you cycle the valley circuit northwards again on official cycle paths past Fulpmes and Telfes until you take the Telfes-Wiesen trail and finally cycle above the Ruetzwerk along the Ruetz towards Innsbruck and return to Mutters with one last small uphill.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.

Super nice tour with a very varied, great descent! I started in Neustift - so you don't have to "commute back" after the descent. Unfortunately, the huts along the way were already closed for the winter (since the beginning of October).
