Keschumrundung

Kesch-Hütte

The Keschhütte is a well-known destination for mountain bikers. From the Upper Engadine, it is the destination of the Kesch circuit, which offers plenty of variety, great single trails and a first-class Alpine backdrop.

Description

From La Punt, head to Madulain and follow the old road to S-chanf. Shortly before the main road, turn left onto an alpine road, which you follow to Susauna. You gain a lot of altitude through the wild Val Susauna, but the path becomes steeper and rougher. At Alp Funtauna, you could finally reach Davos via the Scaletta Pass. We prefer the single trail through Val Funtauna, which is easy to ride on the valley floor. On the last ascent before the Keschhütte hut, the bike has to be pushed, but by the time you reach the hut, you have completed the ascent. After a rest at the SAC hut, follow the fun little mini road down to Chants. The hiking trail on the right is extremely difficult and only recommended for mountain bikers who enjoy trials. Shortly before Chants, turn left onto a trail, reach the little road through Val Tuors at the bottom and follow this to Bergün. Tired mountain bikers can now take the train back to the Engadin, but the return journey over the Albula Pass is recommended. To do this, take the pass road to Preda and continue to the culmination point at 2313 meters above sea level. The descent to La Punt is now on the singletrail to the right of the road.
