Col del Fenilon
Description
The tour starts near Col Molin at just under 200 meters above sea level. From here, the route climbs up the seemingly endless mountain road on asphalt, which is typical of the area, to Colle Averto (1100 meters above sea level) on a constant incline with great views. Again and again you reach places where there is little vegetation and you have a tremendous view towards Bassano del Grappa and in good weather even as far as the Mediterranean. At Colle Averto, the panoramic road winds its way up to Col Moschin and then on to Col del Fenilon (1327 meters above sea level). Passing historic buildings and above the vegetation line of shrubs and trees, you have a magnificent view of the mountain landscape and the surrounding valleys.
A quick glance at the map gives you a good idea of what lies ahead and the descent can begin. The trail starts directly from the summit at S1 to S2 level until it crosses the mountain road that has already been covered. It continues in this form for an endless descent towards Pian Castello. A historic path paved with stones and walls that couldn't be better for bikers. Between hairpin bends, flow passages, small jumps and berms, the Elevation loss just flies by. Once you reach Pian Castello, you descend a few more meters before reaching the valley floor in San Nazario. Now it's time to pedal comfortably along the cycle path back to the starting point. Conclusion: All in all, a typical tour in the Monte Grappa region with historic buildings, bombastic views and an endless trail descent.

06.2025 Great panoramic mountain, the trail down into the valley is almost completely a paved stone path with small steps, more like a mullatierre...good if the fork and damper work properly, then you won't be so shaken at a certain speed :-)
Tour ridden on 18.05.24. The ascent is a bit long. Initially on asphalt to Campo Solagna, then easy on gravel to the summit. Super trail that has a lot to offer as described! Brilliant views down into the valley. Impressive how lovely the landscape is at the top with grassy humps, only to drop steeply into the valley.
