Olten-Basel
Description
In Olten, the route initially leads to Trimbach and then to the 600-metre ascent to Belchenflue. To do this, you climb via Unterwald up to the General-Wille-Haus and on to the saddle just below the Belchenflue. A detour to the viewing platform on the Belchenflue is recommended here. Then it's a short descent on a gravel road to the Chilchzimmersattel, where the first singletrail begins on the opposite side of the road. This rides along the Geissflue to the Lauchflue and then flows down to the Sennhöchi. Single trails take you from here to Oberdorf. Now you climb along the Weigistbach stream up to Liedertswil and from there down to Reigoldswil. You now roll along small roads through the Basel region to Seewen and finally up to Nättenberg. Single trails are now back on the program. These lead along the Bürenflue almost as far as Gempen, from where you climb up to the Schartenflue. The well-known descent leads down to Basel. You pass the Stollenhäuser, later the Schönmatt and finally the Gempentrail down to Muttenz. The cycle paths later take you to Basel station for the return journey by train.

I rode the (very beautiful) tour yesterday in an abbreviated version (see below), and would describe the level of difficulty (apart from a few technical sections) as moderate.
Tips for saving meters in altitude: By bus from Olten to Ifenthal; from Oberdorf via the cycle path to Liestal and from there by bus to Seewen.
On paper, this is a great tour full of crisp climbs and endless single trails. Unfortunately, some of these are not rideable due to roots and/or the sharp, smooth Jura stones. There are always pasture gates to "overcome". Rarely have I walked as much as on this tour. And watch out, sometimes you pass through a general driving ban.
I rode the tour in the best weather (dry) and have to agree 100% with the previous speaker. Almost the entire singletrail from the Chilchzimmersattel (from approx. 10 km) to Sennehöchi (at approx. 13 km) is described as easy to ride and in my opinion can only be done completely on foot! Maybe Danny MacAskill rides this trail but it is not rideable for all "normal" bikers! Otherwise a very nice tour and I liked it except that I walked a lot... ;-)
certainly a very nice tour
In principle a nice route, but it goes right through a federal shooting range in front of the General-Wille-Haus. Not recommended during operation.
You can usually drive through the shooting range. And if there is shooting going on, the guard usually radios up so that you can still get through.
