Lichtenberg-Scharte

The Lichtenbergscharte is the starting point for many attractive single trails at the foot of the Stilfserjoch

Description

The first part of the ascent is on the pass road to the Stilfserjoch as far as Gomagoi, after which you take the road to Stilfs for a few meters. Before you reach the village, turn left and climb up to the Prader Alm. A little above the alp, the path turns into a single trail and climbs up to an altitude of 2272 meters above sea level. This is followed by a descent to the Stilfseralm and another ascent to the tree line above the Lichtenbergscharte. Now it's time for some first-class flow fun: The trail winds downhill past the Lichtenbergscharte until it flattens out a little at Gaschlin. Now it leads through an open pine forest in the direction of Prad, whereby a careful choice of line is required in some places. The descent is top class and the last few meters lead back to Prad via a small road.
