Falzarego

Passo Falzarego

The loop around the Passo Falzarego near Cortina d'Ampezzo is not only interesting for historians, enduro bikers and ambitious trail bikers will also get their money's worth here

Description

The route starts at the Passo di Valparola at 2192 meters above sea level. At difficulty levels S3 to S4, the descent to Passo Falzarego (2105 meters above sea level) is immediate and without a grace period. The trail continues to wind its way down the Sentiero 424 to the height of Casón de Rózes. From here, the pace changes. Uphill, you follow a military road from the First World War towards the former military road below the Zima de Fouzárgo. A huge network of paths and a collection of buildings from the First World War have been created here, as well as perfect trails. From here, you return to Passo Falzarego on difficulty levels S2 to S3 and then take the last uphill to the starting point at Passo di Valparola, thus completing the tour. A short, crisp tour that is particularly inviting on a transit and offers great trails away from the hustle and bustle. Not recommended in wet conditions, as the descent can be extremely slippery due to the roots and the surface.
