Start in the village of Casanova to the north of Tolmezzo. From here, the route climbs a few hairpin bends on asphalt up the pass road to Fusea. The small village of Fusea is situated on a high plateau and offers a fantastic view of the confluence of the Tagliamento and Torrente Büt rivers. From Fusea, it is only a few meters to the village of Cazzaso before you reach the highest point of the tour.

The descent rides along the so-called "Gaetano Trail". At difficulty level S2, S3 in wet conditions, the natural forest and meadow trail leads steadily downhill to the starting point. The last few meters you roll back on asphalt relaxed back to Casanova.
