Monte Floris

Mont Floris

The circuit on Monte Floris offers a varied, flowing and lonely trail descent in a somewhat hidden area between Villa Santina and Ampezzo.

Description

The tour starts in the small village of Enemonzo. From here, the route initially rides on asphalt through hamlets and over sunny south-facing slopes. After a long crossing and a serpentine ascent, you reach the area below Monte Floris. The uphill section offers impressive panoramic views towards the Tagliamento and Tolmezzo.

The route then passes behind Col Maciul and joins the CAI 235 downhill trail. This section is a relatively easy mule track along the steep slopes below Monte Naviezza. The difficulty is predominantly S1 to S2. Only at a water crossing can an erosion-damaged section require a little more attention.

Above Feltrone, the route remains similarly varied. A combination of forest floor, limestone and meadow paths makes for a harmonious riding experience. The route continues smoothly over the last ridge area above Viaso before the tour finally rides back to Enemonzo.
