Monte Duron
Description
The starting point of the tour is the village of Casanova near Tolmezzo. From here, the route follows the cycle path for a few meters, then a few bends on asphalt to Fusea. Idyllically situated on the high plateau, the route continues on asphalt past the Biotopo torbiera di Curiedi until you finally turn onto a forest path at the hamlet of Spins. You then leave this in the area of the saddle towards Monte Duron. There are still a few meters to pedal here before you have to push up another 80 meters to the summit. The highest point of the tour is reached at 1236 meters above sea level and is rewarded with a great panorama. Spring and autumn in particular are the perfect times for touring here, as the vegetation and temperatures are lower.
The downhill trail starts at the summit. At difficulty levels S1 to S2, it descends to the saddle and then continues along the so-called "Crazy Train Trail" towards Sezza. In the meantime, the trail reaches difficulty levels S2 to S3, but is easy to ride thanks to its design and lines. At the trail junction, you then pedal back in cross-country style towards Marcelie and then a few meters uphill to Monte Spin before you are greeted by the "Marc Trail 2.0" sign. The last highlight of the tour is the nature trail, which rides down to Lorenzaso on difficulty S2. Once you arrive in Lorenzaso, the cycle path takes you back to the starting point in a relaxed manner.

Relaxed uphill on tarmac. You only have to push up to Monte Duron (I don't have an e-bike). It's also worth it, as you can ride down. 1st trail at S2 level with lots of stone slabs. Partly a bit overgrown, but possible with a bit of willpower. Blackberry bushes. After a short uphill then the 2nd trail which has some S3 sections. Some erosion in places. But all rideable. 1-2 trees are lying across. However, it should be dry, otherwise it will be very slippery. Compared to many other tours in the area, this tour is very relaxed and easy to master in 2 hours.
